TRAFFIC SHIFT TO BEGIN IN LONDONDERRY
I-93 Northbound and Southbound
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces that starting Monday, November 27, 2017 night work will begin on I-93 northbound and southbound. This work will consist of placing the structural steel for the new NH Route 102 Bridge over I-93.
This work is scheduled to be done between the hours of 7:00 pm and 6:00 am and will require the use of lane closures and detours. Northbound and Southbound I-93 traffic will be diverted nightly to the Exit 4 off ramps and back onto I-93. Message boards, uniformed officers, traffic control devices, and smart work zone devices will be used to notify the travelling public. This work is expected to take three weeks to complete, however additional nights may be required due to weather conditions.
This work is part of the final I-93 NB and SB mainline construction in the Exit 4 area (Derry/Londonderry), as well as the NB and SB on and off ramps construction, the NH Route 102 reconstruction (including the reconstruction of the NH Route 102 Bridge over I-93), and Pillsbury Road/Ash Street (including the Pillsbury Road/Ash Street Bridge over I-93). RS Audley, Inc. of Bow, New Hampshire is the general contractor for the $62.2 million project, which is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2020.
