NIGHT BRIDGE WORK ON I-93 AT EXIT 4 IN LONDONDERRY
LANE CLOSURES FOR BRIDGE DEMOLITION WORK
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces night work will begin Sunday, August 5, 2018 on Interstate 93 in Londonderry at Exit 4. This work will consist of removing deck formwork for the new NH Route 102 bridge over I-93 and preparation work for the removal of the old Route 102 bridge.
This night work is scheduled to be done between the hours of 7:00 pm and 6:00 am and will require the use of both northbound and southbound lane closures on I-93. Message boards, uniformed officers, traffic control devices, and smart work zone devices will be used to notify the travelling public. This work is expected to take one week to complete, however additional nights may be required due to weather conditions.
This work is part of the final I-93 mainline construction in the Exit 4 area (Derry/Londonderry), as well as on and off ramps construction, the NH Route 102 reconstruction (including the reconstruction of the NH Route 102 Bridge over I-93), and Pillsbury Road/Ash Street (including the Pillsbury Road/Ash Street Bridge over I-93). RS Audley, Inc. of Bow, New Hampshire is the general contractor for the $62.2 million project, which is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2020.
