The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces that night work on I-93 northbound and southbound will continue at Exit 4 in Londonderry. This work will consist of removal of the concrete abutments for the old NH Route 102 bridge over I-93, then beginning on or about November 15th the demolition of the Ash St. bridge.

This work is scheduled to be done between the hours of 7:30 pm and 6:00 am and will require the use of lane closures and detours. Northbound I-93 traffic will be diverted nightly to the Exit 4 off ramp and back onto I-93 until the middle of next week after that lane closures will be used for the remaining Northbound and Southbound work. Message boards, uniformed officers, traffic control devices, and smart work zone devices will be used to notify the travelling public. This work is expected to continue until the end of November to complete, however additional nights may be required due to weather conditions.

This work is part of the final I-93 NB and SB mainline construction in the Exit 4 area (Derry/Londonderry), as well as the Exit 4 NB and SB on and off ramp reconstruction, the NH Route 102 reconstruction (including the reconstruction of the NH Route 102 Bridge over I-93), and Pillsbury Road/Ash Street (including the Pillsbury Road/Ash Street Bridge over I-93). RS Audley, Inc. of Bow, New Hampshire is the general contractor for the $62.2 million project, which is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2020.
