Salem Wastewater Treatment Plant Site: Site #32

Return to Wetland Mitigation Sites Map

Salem Wastewater Treatment Plant Site (Site #32) is adjacent to the Spicket River. A portion of the site lies within the existing floodplain. Although cleanup of the site (hazardous materials) will be necessary, the site is ideal for its flood storage potential and additional wetland creation area. The Town of Salem is in favor of this site. The site is approximately 32 acres in size with potential wetland creation of 10 to 15 acres.
